A Conversation
Sitting down with Diana, Roger felt the weight of her words like a punch to the gut. Tears welled in her eyes as she poured out her heart, lamenting how their lives seemed to revolve solely around raising kids and working.
“It’s like we’ve missed out on everything,” she sobbed, her voice trembling with regret. “I’ve never sipped wine in Italy or gazed from atop Table Mountain. And now I’m afraid those dreams will always remain just that – dreams.”
Roger’s heart clenched as he watched his wife’s anguish. He knew he couldn’t let her despair consume them both. Determinedly, he vowed to find a way to make those dreams a reality, to show Diana that it’s never too late to seize the life they’ve longed for.
