What Experts Really Think About Greens Powders

Greens Powders, Too Good To Be True

Companies offer drinks so you can create a glass full of powerful superfoods and meet your vitamin needs by mixing powdered green mixes with water. Powdered dried fruits and vegetables boost immunity, improve gut health, and build antioxidants.

Clinical dietitian, Gina Milano of Stanford Health Care, said they promise to help you maintain energy levels throughout the day, relieve bloating, and support liver function.

Many Powders Are Not FDA- Regulated

Most haven’t proven that they deliver on their promises. Milano said it is unclear exactly how the disease-preventing superfood complexes function. The FDA has not evaluated many powders that claim to treat or prevent disease.

We Don’t Know Ingredient Specifications

Surprisingly, not much research has been done on superfoods and green blends since they vary from brand to brand and manufacture to manufacture.

Vitamin, Mineral Contents Are More Known

You can think of these greens powders as well-rounded daily vitamins since they are easy to take. Compared with a diet of healthful whole foods, powdered greens offer no significant health benefits.
