Many Women Are Shaving Their Faces. A Few Things You Should Know

Many women have long praised facial shaving as a less rigorous at-home alternative to dermaplaning. It is the act of shaving your face with a razor in an effort to get rid of hair and achieve smoother exfoliated skin.

Perhaps you’ve heard that Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor favoured the cosmetic procedure or that removing your peach fuzz will make applying your cosmetics easier.

Numerous web sources promote the advantages of shaving your face. However, there are undoubtedly many unanswered questions regarding the process.

Will It be thicker When It Grows Back?

Hair feels coarse and blunt after shaving because it blunts the edges. This could give the impression that your hair has grown thicker or darker.

Shaving, however, does not affect the thickness or colour of facial hair. Until they fully grow out, it may make terminal hairs feel harsher to the touch.

What Equipment To Use

Many bloggers vouch for the Tinkle eyebrow razor, which is applied to dry skin at a 45-degree angle and used in quick, short strokes. Or a battery- or electric-powered shaver. Which approach is better is still up for debate.

After Care

Whatever tool you use for the work, what happens before and after is what really counts. Experts advise using a cream cleanser first and then toner as an antibacterial right away. Applying foundation, makeup, or moisturizer that isn’t made for sensitive skin should be delayed by at least an hour because the area may be more prone to inflammation after shaving.
