Risks Of Using Turmeric For Your Skin

Turmeric has risks. Turmeric is poorly bioavailable. Because of this, it’s burned off quickly and not absorbed much. You should be careful about turmeric dosage, product type, and how it might affect other medications.

Wait for your body to respond before taking more turmeric at once. If turmeric is applied to the skin, it may leave a yellow stain. This is normal. It can cause irritation, redness, and swelling if you’re allergic. Talk to your doctor if you take other medications.

Apply a dime-sized amount to your forearm and wait 24 to 48 hours to see if you react. If you have an allergy to turmeric, don’t use it on your skin.
