With the success of Avengers: Endgame pretty much in the bag, we have a somewhat satisfying closure for our favorite superheroes Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Hulk. With the fates of Iron Man Tony Stark, Black Widow, and Captain America pretty much determined, the remaining heroes are left to carry on the fight.
The actor that portrayed Captain America, Chris Evans, has what he considers a bang-up idea for his next movie. He thinks it should be an all-out buddy movie with fellow Avenger Thor, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth. The Avengers: Endgame was, in fact, the seventh Marvel film featuring both Evans and Hemsworth, with them having portrayed their characters together in four movies in total.
Hemsworth stated in a recent interview with Variety that he and Evans go along great working together in the MCU. In fact, he spoke of the close relationships he had developed will all the original Avengers—Robert Downey Jr, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and of course Chris Evans. When referring to his relationship with Evans, Hemsworth equates it to more of a brotherly type bond.
Evans seconds how close the actors are, so much so that he referred to them being separated during the Avengers: Endgame publicity tour as “such bullsh*t,” stating that when they are on the publicity tours that they have so much fun together.
He then went on to pitch his idea of a film with Hemsworth, stating that he would love the movie to be one of those 80’s buddy comedies, that would allow them to put their Avengers characters behind them and step out into totally different roles. Although the concept is excellent, the chance of it actually coming to pass is very slim.
Both actors are in significant demand, with each having major film commitments that will keep them both busy for quite some time. However, that doesn’t mean that it may happen down the road, just not any time soon.
